Awards and achievements

3rd LIXIL International University Competition Representing National University of Singapore: Second place winner

The LIXIL International University Architectural Competition is a design competition for university research laboratories that is hosted by LIXIL JS Foundation. Situated on a site in the Memu Meadows of Hokkaido’s Taiki-cho, the theme of “Retreat in Nature” seeks sustainable architectural solutions from 12 selected universities, altogether representing 11 countries. The winning university will be responsible for the project throughout the construction phase.

Representing the National University of Singapore, Zakiah and the team has managed to emerge 1st runner up amongst other international universities such as ETH Zurich, Bartlett School of Architecture, TU Delft and Tongji University
